How launching works, where the fees go, and the exact refund rule.

What TOUCH GRASS is

TOUCH GRASS is a pump.fun launchpad. You launch a coin through us; your own wallet signs and pays the pump.fun create transaction. TOUCH GRASS is the coin's creator on-chain, so the coin's pump.fun creator fees come to the TOUCH GRASS dev wallet, attributed to that coin to the lamport.

Every hour at :00 UTC, 90% of each coin's new creator fees refund that coin's holders who are in the red, pro-rata by their remaining loss, in SOL. Only wallets whose balance equals exactly what they bought on-chain qualify. The other 10% is THE MOWER: it buys $GRASS and burns it.

One rule: keep exactly what you bought, to the last unit. No sells, no transfers, no split wallets.

Launching a coin

Step by step

  1. Fill in name, ticker, image, description and optional socials. Names, tickers, descriptions and links go through a slur and hate filter.
  2. Pick an optional dev buy (0 to 5 SOL).
  3. Connect a wallet (Phantom, Solflare or Backpack). We never ask for a key.
  4. We upload the metadata to pump.fun's IPFS endpoint, build the transaction, simulate it on mainnet and show you every instruction in plain words: the programs, the accounts, the arguments (including creator = TOUCH GRASS dev wallet EMZ8CRSbpDSyYQ5GV9uA3yGwUCZNXDxuLYhxFa4eJsLi), the simulation result and the exact cost.
  5. Your browser re-checks the transaction before your wallet is asked: only ComputeBudget, System, Associated Token, Token, Token-2022, pump.fun and Memo programs; the creator must be the TOUCH GRASS dev wallet; no SOL transfers to anyone, no SetAuthority, no CloseAccount; the dev buy cannot spend more than you chose. If any check fails the sign button stays disabled and says why.
  6. You tick "I understand" under the disclosure and sign. The coin page opens once it lands.

What you sign

create_v2 (Token-2022 mint + bonding curve), with creator set to the TOUCH GRASS dev wallet, mayhem mode off, holder rewards off, cashback off, SOL quote; plus, with a dev buy, your token account and a buy_v2. The two signers are your wallet and a one-time mint key that our server generates, uses once and wipes. The mint key is never funded and never stored.

What you pay

Only pump.fun's costs (account rent + network fee + a capped priority fee) plus your optional dev buy. Your exact number is shown from the simulation of your own transaction before you sign.

What "we are the creator" means

pump.fun pays creator fees to the coin's creator vault. Because TOUCH GRASS is the creator, those fees fund the hourly refunds for that coin's holders (90%) and the mower (10%). You do not receive creator fees.

What pump.fun shows: on pump.fun the coin page usually shows your wallet (the wallet that signed the create) as the creator. On-chain, the coin's creator, the wallet pump.fun pays creator fees to, is the TOUCH GRASS dev wallet. We checked this on 15 recent mainnet coins created with a different creator than signer: pump.fun displayed the signer for 14 of them.

Your launch is listed on TOUCH GRASS as "Launched through TOUCH GRASS". Your wallet is only shown on your own Account lookup.

Per-coin attribution

Every coin shares the same creator vault, so fees are attributed per coin from each trade's own event: the bonding-curve TradeEvent.creator_fee, and after graduation the PumpSwap coin_creator_fee. Each coin's pot is a ledger: fees attributed in minus refunds out.

Hourly reconciliation

Every hour the sum of attributed fees is compared with the change in the creator vault balances (bonding-curve vault + PumpSwap vault). A difference up to 5,000 lamports + 1 per trade is published as platform dust on Proofs. A bigger difference marks the hour UNRECONCILED and pauses that hour's refunds until it is explained.

The red-bag refund rule, exactly

Bought == held, to the last base unit. Your on-chain balance at the count slot must equal exactly what you bought. Read from the chain snapshot, never from our own running tally.

What counts as a buy

A positive balance change in one transaction counts as a BUY only if, in that same transaction, the coin's bonding-curve vault (or its PumpSwap pool vault) lost at least that many tokens and your SOL + WSOL went down. Direct pump.fun, PumpSwap and aggregator routes all qualify. Cost = the smaller of your net SOL out (minus the network fee and new-account rent) and the trade event's amount, so cost is never inflated.

What makes a bag TOUCHED (forever, for that coin)

Any sell or partial sell, transfer in, transfer out, airdrop, burn, closing the account, a delegate approval, or a balance change no processed transaction explains. TOUCHED flags never clear.

Sold 1 token? That bag is off the list for that coin. Buying more does not undo it.

Never counted

The bonding curve and the PumpSwap pool, TOUCH GRASS's own wallets, pump.fun's fee and authority accounts, program-owned accounts, and any operator or team wallets listed on Proofs. A launcher's dev buy is an ordinary buy.

Funder clusters

Wallets first funded by the same wallet in the 24 hours before their first buy form one cluster per coin. One touched member touches the whole cluster, and a cluster shares one cap (10% of the hour's pot). Funders that funded more than 50 wallets are treated as exchanges and do not cluster. Clusters are aggregate only: no wallet is ever labelled publicly. This guard can occasionally group unrelated wallets that used the same small funder; that is listed under Risks.

Survive one count

A buy is covered from the first count after it has survived one full count. Buy at 14:20, the 15:00 count records you, the 16:00 count covers you. A top-up's new tokens wait one count the same way.

Payout schedule and pro-rata

  • Count at :00 UTC every hour, every enrolled coin. All coins are targeted by :10; any coin counted later is marked LATE.
  • LOSS = cost of covered buys - floor(covered tokens x mid price at the count slot). Mid = curve virtual reserves, or PumpSwap pool reserves after graduation.
  • REMAINING = max(0, LOSS - refunded - queued). Wallets in profit get 0.
  • Pot = 90% of fees attributed since the last count + anything rolled over.
  • Split pro-rata by REMAINING, each wallet capped at its REMAINING, each funder cluster capped at 10% of the pot; overflow is re-shared (water-fill, up to 8 passes).
  • Payouts under 0.001 SOL roll to the next hour, as does anything left. Lifetime refunds can never exceed lifetime loss.
  • Paid in SOL from TOUCH GRASS's payout wallet in batches of up to 18 transfers with a memo tg:<mint8>:<hour>:<sha8>.
Queued vs sent. Payouts are not armed yet. Every hour still counts and publishes; refunds are calculated and QUEUED (owed, with the amount and the count hash). Queued refunds are paid oldest-first the moment the operator arms the signer. A refund only shows "sent" with a Solscan link once its transaction is confirmed.

The mower and $GRASS

Every launched coin's 10% slice buys $GRASS and burns it (BurnChecked, not a transfer to an incinerator), hourly once payouts are armed and the mower wallet holds at least 0.01 SOL. Buys are capped at 3% slippage and 2% of pool depth per hour. Every burn transaction is listed on Proofs.

Why $GRASS: 90% of each coin's fees refund that coin's own red holders and that never changes. The only free lever is the 10%. Routing it to $GRASS makes every launch, and every trade on every launched coin, buy pressure and burn on $GRASS.

$GRASS runs the same refund engine on its own creator fees: 90% refunds $GRASS's untouched red holders, 10% mows $GRASS. $GRASS was launched by the operator, so its creator is the operator's launch wallet; its fees reach the payout and mower wallets through the operator's fee sweep. Until a sweep lands, $GRASS shows the fees accruing in its creator vault and its refunds as queued.

Proofs: verify a count

  1. Open a coin page and download an hour's .json (and .sha256).
  2. Run sha256sum <hour>.json; it must equal the hash shown on the row.
  3. The JSON lists the count slot, the mid price, the pot in, the rollover and every payout (owner, remaining before, amount). Touched wallets appear only as a count.
  4. Check any balance at the count slot on Solscan, and every payout transaction's memo tg:<mint8>:<hour>:<sha8>.
  5. The rules text has its own sha256 (912935028edac9bbc4742f3f6f748567a61e47be8c83948b6a0d3de99ca01bbb), embedded in every count.

FAQ

Do I need to connect a wallet?

Not to check anything. Paste any address on Account. You only connect to launch a coin.

Can I buy more?

Yes. Each buy is its own tranche; new tokens are covered after they survive one count.

I sold 1 token. Can I come back?

No. That bag is touched for that coin, forever.

Why is my refund small?

The pot is only that coin's fees. When the red is bigger than the pot, it is split pro-rata by remaining loss.

What if nobody is red?

The row says NOBODY'S IN THE RED and the pot rolls to the next hour.

What if the pot is empty?

The row says NO FEES THIS HOUR. Every hour gets a row.

Is this a guarantee?

No. Refunds are funded by creator fees only and depend on trading volume.

Is $GRASS the Grass network token?

No. It is not affiliated with the Grass network. Check the contract address.

Risks

  • Fees depend on volume. Quiet coins produce small or no refunds.
  • Refunds are not guaranteed and never exceed your real loss.
  • pump.fun and smart-contract risk: we rely on pump.fun's programs and fee schedule, which pump.fun can change.
  • Ticker collision: $GRASS is not the Grass network token.
  • Operator and signer trust: refunds are sent by a TOUCH GRASS signer service run by the operator. Everything it does is published, but you are trusting it to run.
  • Funder-cluster false positives: unrelated wallets funded by the same small wallet can be grouped.
  • Indexer gaps: if we ever miss a transaction, the count reads your balance from the chain; a mismatch marks the bag touched.

  1. R1 Every coin launched through TOUCH GRASS has the TOUCH GRASS dev wallet (TG_CREATOR) as its on-chain pump.fun creator. The launcher signs and pays the create transaction.
  2. R2 Each coin's pump.fun creator fees are attributed to that coin from its own trade events (curve TradeEvent.creator_fee; PumpSwap coin_creator_fee), to the lamport.
  3. R3 Every hour at :00 UTC each enrolled coin is counted. 90% of the fees attributed since the previous count plus any rolled-over pot is that hour's pot. 10% goes to THE MOWER, which buys $GRASS and burns it.
  4. R4 A BUY is a positive balance change where, in the same transaction, the coin's bonding-curve vault or PumpSwap base vault lost at least that many base units AND the wallet's SOL+WSOL went down.
  5. R5 A wallet is UNTOUCHED when its on-chain balance at the count slot equals exactly what it bought, to the last base unit. Any sell, transfer in or out, airdrop, burn, account close, delegate approval or unexplained balance change makes it TOUCHED for that coin, forever.
  6. R6 Wallets first funded by the same wallet in the 24 h before their first buy form one cluster per coin. One touched member touches the whole cluster. Funders with more than 50 funded wallets are treated as exchanges and do not cluster. Clusters are never labelled publicly.
